I was thinking the same thing. And it’s not like the occupants of the Kia were threatening him (that I could tell). Their window was mostly up and it looked like he just got a bad case of RR and was trying to get the driver to step out of the vehicle at a red light. He should be charged with attempted murder, though I…
I’m a gun owner, and I use it for target shooting and I sometimes take it into the mountains for large animal protection if I’m alone (I also carry bear spray as a first line of defense). I’m also a very even keeled person, not prone to emotional outbursts. But even I know that carrying a weapon daily only makes this…
I live in the land of ice fishing and sub zero temps. I have driven on ice a few times. I may even drive across a river if the temp was cold enough long enough but no way in hell am I blasting down the length of a river, ever!
As local people scurried to mount a rescue attempt, the woman was spotted taking a selfie to immortalize the moment, or something like that.
Not like there was much else she could do in that situation. Might as well document it.
The old front end looked kind of “happy but unaware” whereas the new ones give the car kind of a “determined, but not angry” look. Overall I think it’s an improvement.
He went out doing what he loved. Being an angry psychopath.
This guy won’t be missed.
I should’ve stopped reading the first time Erin offered excuses for criminal behavior. But I kept reading and found more of it.
And yet David Tracey would still argue his mid 60's Plymouth is the most reliable car ever made.
Not automotive - but a friend of mine in Germany spent a year in a US high school as an exchange student. Since in Germany we were taught the Queen’s English in school, he had some adjustments to make. Such as when in the first week there, wanting to erase some pencil marks, he asked the girl sitting next to him if he…
Sweden has mandated lights to be on at all times since 1977 and it was linked to a clear reduction in accidents. It makes it so much easier to determine how fast an approaching car is moving if nothing else.
Agreed - EXCEPT - have you priced modern headlights these days? Granted, with new LED technology they should last but they can be > $1k. Back in the old halogen bulb days, they were cheap and easily replaced.
On a side note, anything less than always on will still have cases where it fails. My car has auto lights but…
Here’s an idea - stop with this DRL BS and just use the freaking low beam lights and taillights that are already there are the DRL. Car in drive? lights are on. End of story.
I’ve never had an issue in snow with a 2WD truck. But I also live in Southern Arizona and see snow for about 10 minutes every 4 years.
Having been in these tire/snow debates for many MANY years, I’ve come to the conclusion that people don’t understand that there are different kinds of snow. Would I try and get away with my AT3W’s in Maine in the winter? No. Do they work great in Utah? Yes.
What I truly do not understand, is that motorcycles have been required to have an always on headlight and taillight for DECADES, specifically for visibility and safety, yet, other vehicles have not been required to do so. I get the half-assed measure or DRLs, but headlights are so much more visible and cause no…
I think it actually depends. If there’s little enough snow that you can cut through and get to the pavement with narrow tires, then that’s better. However, if it’s super deep, or the pavement below is just pure ice anyway, then I think you’re better off with wide tires that can distribute your weight across the snow.…
Lifting their truck has nothing to do with obstacles, or utility.
