That’s total bollocks. Singers are all carbon fiber other than the doors. They make the entire bodyshells. And that’s far from all they do. You need to do a LOT more research before posting nonsense like that.

I’m excited for this season in a way I never was for either last season or the Grand Tour. The three of them have pretty excellent chemistry and while its still early days, I’m more confident they can (as you say) evolve the show into something new.
