Littlealex, don't get too worked up. Nostalgia got the better of me, and I actually purchased all three earlier seasons. Turns out only season 3 was any fun, because you have Wings Hauser flying the evil Airwolf, with his whole jaw sticking out of the helmet because he has a giant fucking head; the episode "And a

I think that's The Quiet Earth, not The Omega Man, but it's been a while since I've seen it.

No, and he never actually carries her as is implied in the poster, but I guess it's sexier than a robot carrying an unconscious man. Or so they thought.

I'm pretty sure she had it in for Tracy in Black Rock just like everyone else. Also, I think it's been over 72 hours since I've watched Forbidden Planet, so I think it's due.

I believe Kershner wanted to kill off Han Solo in Jedi. I fairly recently read an interview with him where he is pretty frank about his and Lucas' differing opinions; while he wanted to go dark, Lucas didn't want to kill anyone off so he could sell more action figures.

They forgot War in Space. Really, just Atragon in space, but they had a blatant light saber ripoff. And they blow up Venus, and not just the alien base.

I actually think "The Misbehavers" is the best thing Rodriguez has done to date. I've actually considered physically cutting the first two segments off the reels of my VHS copy of Four Rooms so I never accidentally rewind past "The Misbehavers" and have to watch even a moment of the earlier sketches. Sometimes I'll

Kirk- it's actually The Tempest on Atair IV. But that's OK.

SJ- I think there hasn't been a lot of 90's nostalgia because it never really went away. All my teenage cousins learn Nirvana songs on guitar and shit. The synth-pop, pop-rap, and hair-metal of the eighties were upstaged by grunge and gangster rap in the 90's, but the transformation of music in the 00's has been more

You are correct, Pilgrim. Read any DFW? I'm on my second go-round with Infinite Jest so I got it on my mind and that's like one of his little "real people talking" kind of tics. It's not as good as the Onion article about the unread DFW breakup letter, but I don't have the time and we're not getting paid for this shit.

And but so, I have a real rubbernecking-at-an-accident desire to see this, but not so much to really go out of my way, but maybe slow down a little to catch like a glimpse of blood or maybe a disembodied limb or something. If that makes any sense.

Horner also "repurposed" a lot of ideas from Khan in the score to Battle Beyond the Stars. Sorta like how I used the same paper like 5 times in college with a different opening paragraph.

First one, then the second one (Gods of Mars), and the third one might not have been a total piece of shit but I can't remember. Maybe skip ahead to the Synthetic Men, because it's an OK concept but it's still a bit crap.

No, he was shitty in Watchmen.

Wouldn't piss on him were he on fire.

Richard Kelly
I really liked Donnie Darko (in spite of Drew Barrymore's performance), but then there was the directors cut, and it became apparent that maybe he was retarded, and then he wrote Domino, and then there was Southland Tales, which I watched ALL of just to say definitively that he is indeed retarded.
And I

Not every one, but they better get on The Highwayman and Max Headroom if they're gonna put out the rest of this garbage. I demand to be disappointed with my 80's memories! Seriously- I bought THREE WHOLE SEASONS of Airwolf, and if anyone wants to know, they should just get disc one of season 3 from Netflix because

Alyxandr- I can understand that it would be your least favorite if you were more interested in his more surreal stuff, since as I said it's much more conventional than any of his other work I've seen, but that's exactly why I would recommend using Little Otik as an intro to Swankmajer. I find that I appreciate his

Watch Little Otik.

Got to agree with Across the Board- Little Otik is the best Svankmajer film I've seen. If I were to show someone his work, that would be the one, since it shows his surreal tendencies but is a very solid narrative film.
