Yes very interesting indeed that most everyone is doing everything they can do avoid suggesting Subaru wagons/outbacks/loyales/wrx’s etc knowing that is the most obvious choice here and with the most available parts configurations, support and all that in which 15grand can do for you.

Kinja’d and can’t add pictures of the car I used to use back then.

Picture the hey day of import tuners/racers late 90's early 2000's, you know the fast and furious bunch. I joined a “Car Club” which was just a bunch of guys who had a passion for modifying and racing cars. We eventually put on the first big all import/tuner car show in Seattle around that time. I was like 19 or 20

Agreed. I bought mine new in Feb 06 when I was 26, unmarried, no kids and I still have it at 39, married and kid. Not modified either, well, hella horns, mud flaps (now removed) and window tint but that’s all that’s ever been done to it. Just hit 90k miles. I love looking up the value of mine and seeing it barely

Here’s mine;

I’m a northwester and I’ve owned three bought from 3 different dealerships. I can totally see why someone could be turned off by the no care attitude/not pushy side of the salesman at Subaru dealers. My wife likes to be sold a bit more, I tend to know what I’m getting into before we even go there.

Officer, how could I be going that fast, I was only using 34.4% of the horsepower I have available.

These are really cool and show some good history and how far safety has actually come along with the need to enforce that safety.

Fun Fact: The Washington State Ferry system actually charges more for these types of 3-wheeled vehicles even if it is technically still a motorcycle. Example: regular motor cycle $6.45, 3-Wheels $11.80 which is the same price as a small vehicle under 14 feet.

Simple brake change on my old 98 Sentra, New rotors and pads. I had upgraded Willwood calipers so should have been even easier...nope. Removed calipers, rotors and pads, no big deal. Was putting back together and passenger caliper came loose from my hanger that was holding it up and the brake line connection to the

Tennis definitely but there are some tournaments that are only best of 3 sets which to me seems more acceptable, at least as a spectator. Soccer feels long at points but realize that it’s 2 45min halves with a break 15-20 min and maybe a couple extra minutes tacked on. Really it’s not much longer than a Hockey game 3

Now playing

Adam Carolla had an entire rant on the whole car seat gutter system and this was years ago. Thinking they were listening to him.

I see all of this is based mostly on mileage and drain intervals.

We bought our first Townhouse so shared stuff with neighbors and community. Fortunately it was brand new but the shit we had to worry about for fear of assessments being lobbied was insane: New fence, New paving, Gate repairs, roof cleaning and gutters and not to mention annual increases in home owner dues are BS but

Strictly based on engine difference probably not worth it if you consider it’s the same engine for the last 12+ years in the STI. But this is a loaded thing as you can’t get a WRX upgraded with the STI engine drive train, you have to get the entire car which is also where the differences are and what make the STI what

We are on our 2nd 3.6r outback, 2012 had the 5 speed and the 2017 with the CVT. Since we’re talking ingines, we test drove the 2.5s from each generation thinking that maybe we made a mistake originally getting the 3.6 rather than the 2.5 back in 2012. Even in 2017 the 2.5 feels slower and loaded down with gear people

I feel like it would be cool to try and get Dale Jr to learn proper drifting and get him into Formula Drift or something. FD would be a pittance of budget compared to Nascar and talk about bringing a big name to the fold. ZR1 Drift build with Dale Jr behind the wheel would be awesome.

Would be really great if they could do firmware updates and such on older models like the 2017 we bought 4 months ago so we could have the android auto and not their mirroring bullshit that doesn’t actually mirror anything.

My FX16 looked like this. There is an FX, FX16 and FX16 GTS. The FX had SOHC I thought and the FX16 and FX16GTS both had the 4AGE engine which was bullet proof. At least my FX16 didn’t have air dams or roof spoilers.

On Modern cars it would be nice if manufacturers gave us some control over this a bit more. Like volume or silent. Maybe allow us to configure and load our own audio files like custom ring tones.
