She’s only 3, don’t beat yourself up for it. My parents still coddle me whenever possible and I’m in my late 20s and live in a different timezone than them. And I still went away to college and joined the rugby team. :)

I would never be a good bachelor contestant because of this. My family gets zero input in my romantic life. I mean, they’re nice and supportive and all, but I live in another state and only see them a couple times a year and that’s more than enough. It seems unhealthy to be so crazy attached. Before I got engaged, I…
Can we also talk about the credits scene where Lauren’s little brothers ask Ben about the potential fantasy suite date? How uncomfortable. Are her brothers even adults? They look so young! And regardless, why are they asking about their adult sister’s sex life when she’s not there?! It was played as a funny moment,…
Caila for sure, Jojo’s home life is a hot mess though. Her brothers were so so creepy and paternalistic. And did anyone else notice her sister just magically disappear after family snack time?
Can Jezebel please hunt down Chad for an exclusive interview?
I get the impression that he liked the /idea/ of it, but when he realized it was cute but mostly screaming children the reality of it set in and he bounced. I’m sure the producers made sure to get in all those cute shots, which doesn’t make it ok, but Ben actually seems like he’s really great with kids. I’m sure he…
and Caila would be a great actress.
I want to believe! This is my only investment in the Oscars this year!
I can’t decide if I want to see it or if this post makes me want to or not! I think my biggest fear is it’ll make me feel like I did at the end of Shame, which was like “wow that was a well-done movie and I feel like my soul withered a little bit for having watched it”.
I haven’t seen it either but I kind of want to? It’s hard to get amped up about putting on a movie that sounds so so depressing. But I feel like I should see it because it’s supposed to be GOOD, you know?
Jeez, gaming WHAT system? I tied the knot last year and was pleasantly surprised by the tax-break-induced bump in my paycheck and the access to sweet spousal insurance benefits. It’s straight up stupid that signing a piece of paper making our already live-in, joint-financial situation legally binding gets us extra…
I’ve been delighted in the blankets-as-clothing trend lately. First autumn and winter brought those scarf/poncho things that were just glorified throws and now we’re going full-on comforter? Yes, PLEASE. I’ll take 1000 designer Snuggies for 2017, thank you.
I’d wear the hell out of that bed, it looks cozy AF.
It’s so, so weird. I wrote my story about my cat below, but we also had a family dog named Sammie that was truly my sister’s pet. Sammie died just over a year ago and my parents’ house will never be the same without our beloved fuzzballs hanging around the place. It feels so quiet and empty, especially without Sammie…
I’m so glad you wrote this and I still have so many feelings from when my kitty bff died, nearly six years ago now.... wow. It’s not a particularly unique story and I’ll be hanging out in the greys but I think it will feel like a relief to share it.
Woohoo! I’ll be gunning for Kim Chi, since I’ve actually seen her perform live a couple times here in Chicago. Once was the day after my wedding when my brand new husband and I brought a dozen of our closest/funnest friends and family to the drag matinee and an amazing time was had by all. Ah memories....
I don’t have kids yet, but my husband and I have already agreed that after we have the one baby we want, he’s getting snipped. I can’t wait for birth control to not be a thing I have to manage anymore.
Ha! This is so true. My best friend’s family seems to be crazy fertile. I think it’s on her dad’s side. She has four siblings and the two oldest have three unplanned kids each. I think she’s made it this far unbabied by being a lesbian - makes having an unplanned pregnancy a lot more difficult.
I have not personally ever been pregnant, but one of my good friends recently had her first kid after over 6(!!!) years of trying. While she was pregnant, her doctor told her that you’re more fertile right after having a baby. I don’t remember the window they told her, but since it can be risky to get knocked up too…
Right, I would like to know when, exactly, I begin (began?) morphing into my significant other.
