Depends on how small the car is and how big the SUV is. Sometimes the size discrepancy necessitates leaving a gap of 5 or 6 car lengths and that’s just ridiculous. Really though, a big part of the problem is simply that many SUV jockeys tend to be some of the worst goddamn drivers ever who are selfishly oblivious to

“My other car is my feet.”

Fuck, I hope not. That stupid shit needs to croak.

Man, I don’t care and neither should you.

Probably no more than any other 31 year old car. 3 decades on the road takes a toll on everything.

Nice price, for certain and damn straight.

Nah, man, that strut tower brace might just be all that’s keeping the front-end of the car square. Shit wears out, and that includes uni-bodies.

Man, people itemizing the aftermarket shit they installed is a sure sign they’re asking way too much. It’s both a pathetic attempt to validate the high price & a lame sort of boasting. “Ford SVO leather shift knob.” lol

Funny thing about the ‘61 T-bird ass-end as a front end is that it sort of came to fruition on the Chrysler Turbine Car.

That looks like Hell on Earth.

For sure. Late-fifties Fords are down-right ridiculous, just like nearly everything else. After the gaudy excesses the fifties devolved into, the early-mid sixties were a breath of simplified & streamlined air.

Yeah, man, I think all the cars mentioned are plenty nifty. The early-mid sixties were a particularly wonderful era of auto design.

It looks French. Seriously.

Have to add this guy...and that’s after they sorta messed up the purity of the ‘61.

Damn tootin’! And, while we’re at it, there’s no such word as “irregardless.” Also, “literally” does not mean “actually.”

Yeah, just another example of how people nowadays use words without bothering to find out what they actually mean. It’s all a part of our lazy-ass, short-sighted society. Same goes with pronunciation: it isn’t “ho-mo-geneous,” it’s “hom-ah-geneous.” And “compare-able” is pronounced “comp-rable,” dammit!

According to Autoblog, which got to see it in person (they even took a quick photo of the rear suspension & remarked it looks similar to the Mustang’s), it’s not a concept. It’s a “preview.” I guess that means it’s a handbuilt prototype of the production model.

This isn’t based on the current Explorer. It’s a new platform and could have more room in the 3rd. row.

That truck is not just ungainly, ill-proportioned, overwrought and ugly; it’s stupid looking. I find it amusing how the stretched out height of the dashboard mirrors the prison wall-like bluntness of the front end. What a silly turd of a vehicle.

Yup.
