@iidxMANIA: It's definitely a taste thing, thanks to its high level of quirkiness and departure from bog RPG standards (knights, magic, etc). But that's also why it's so great.

It's not really a console war, but more of just choices a consumer has to make. Like you said, the Wii wasn't really competing with the PS360—it was kinda doing its own thing, which was cool, but at the same time you weren't getting the same games, so you needed to buy one of each.

The next big thing is mind control, or complete VR immersion, or whatever crazy sci-fi concept you can think of.

"Pokemon Champion Master"? What does that even require? If it means beating every separate Elite Four/Master in every region, well, that won't happen as long as they keep making new games and new worlds.

Interesting. I stopped watching after Season 2, because it was clear that as long as Pokemon games were being made, Ash would never become the Pokemon Master. Or hook up with Misty. :(

@cmcanuck: This has always been a problem with the Poke games and will only worsen over time, as there are a limited number of (sensical) type combinations and animals. Like you said, there are a few good ones that seem genuinely cool and original, and the rest are completely garbage and forgettable.

@MrCoconut: Hey, I liked Bidoof. It could pick up random items after battles and its evolution was one of the best HM slaves.
