@GohanEgret: Perhaps. ;)
@GohanEgret: Perhaps. ;)
i just want my pokeymans
@JokerOfSpades: True that. And just like the news, I gots to tell it like it is. ;)
@GohanEgret: I know, she likes him for his plumbing skills!
@BadassSailor: Depends on the situation. If the mother's life is at risk, then yes. If she can have the baby safely, she should—we're talking about a human life, after all. But then again, you seem to have very little regard for it so let's just leave it at that.
@BadassSailor: I really don't know how to respond to this, so I just won't say anything.
@Witherbucket: See, she's just out to trick you. In reality, she only specializes in two jobs: a blow—
@GohanEgret: No...
@BadassSailor: There are still cultures that practice infanticide and ritual sacrifice. Surely, those are cool things to do, right?
@D Mitsuki, Gotta have guts kid!: I would love to believe you, but psychology would argue otherwise. I have dabbled in the area myself and kids have been scarred by less, they just don't realize/acknowledge it until later. The mind of a teen is a fragile, fragile thing.
@Badassiousness: Regardless of what we'd like to believe, it doesn't matter when we're staring straight at the cold bleak reality of it all. I have heard/read enough stories/cases to know that seemingly harmless things like this have long-lasting effects.
@BadassSailor: Where are you getting these statistics? According to this website ([internetshakespeare.uvic.ca] the average age of marriage between 1770-1837 was 25.1 years.
@D Mitsuki, Gotta have guts kid!: I'm sorry, it was my fault for not being specific. By the scarring I meant kids being in twisted relationships with older predators, like in the article. I'm aware that a fair amount of teens are sexually active before 18.
@Zytokis: Thank you, I do my best!
@TiLoBrown: I know, and that's where we'll have to agree to disagree. Certainly it's up to my son/daughter what decisions he/she makes regarding sexual partners, but I sure as hell would tell em not to go around having it willy-nilly.
@TiLoBrown: Did you hear what I said about meaningful relationships? I was a 15-year-old boy at one time, I know what a horny little devil I was. But I didn't know shit about relationships or how sex fit into them.
@D Mitsuki, Gotta have guts kid!: I was temporarily struck speechless.
@TiLoBrown: I really really hope you don't become a parent. You really shouldn't, with that kind of attitude.
@madammina: Meh, I've been around Kotaku long enough to see equal amounts of gold and crap, and occasionally instances of one masquerading as the other. I think most of the star commenters are pretty cool, although as with everything there are exceptions.
@GenocidalTeddy: "Social studies" indeed. ;)
