Has anyone here been following the Oscar Grant shooting? Just another stark reminder that the old days of racism aren't that far behind us.

Remember that numbers and damage can always be tweaked later through updates; the important thing here is the concept.

@dash.galaxy: Heh. Well, it's not for everyone. The point is, Square tried something radically different from its usual turn-based save-the-world formula, and for a lot of people, it worked. Gotta give 'em props for that, at least.

@DreamSequence: Extremely well-written, my good man. Kotaku needs more intelligent posters like yourself.

@PS1: Sure.

@CaptJapan: You seem to have the mistaken impression that I'm some kind of graphics whore. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Out of the current gen consoles I only own a Wii. Would love to get a 360 or PS3 sometime down the road, but right now I'm okay.

@CaptJapan: It started when the systems were in development. The Wii's strength isn't graphics or processing power, that's not news. And that's why we don't see Final Fantasy XIII on it.

@Shinta: I know it's illogical to judge from a mere teaser trailer, but I get the feeling the story will be the usual generic save-the-world crap. The humming at the end totally reminded me of FFIX, and half a dozen other RPGs.

@GunFlame: The Second Coming: While Mistwalker isn't nearly as prominent as, say, Square Enix, people still keep it on the radar thanks to Sakaguchi. As for your second comment, compared to the 360 or PS3 the Wii really lacks quality RPG titles, and understandably so.

Well, at least the bland title is a step up from, say, ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat, which sounds like a late-night Cinemax flick.

@LongLiveTheThing: Yeah, definitely odd for a big-name game but the Wii could use some RPG lovin'.

@Lord_Data: I second Helis' comment, and give a hearty recommendation. I don't even like FPS games—the last one I played on a regular basis was the original Doom for PC, and I really enjoy TF2. It has its quirks and charms that separate it from the pack.

@NovaDeez: I'm sure Kotaku will update once they hear some solid news, but for now it seems this is it.

@mrryu: What reason is there not to? The PSP is a different gaming machine than the DS, and therefore, has a different library. While it doesn't have the most impressive library, it does have some quality titles worth owning.

In light of the recent Golden Wrench controversy, I find this gem taken from the Steam forums appropriate:

@AzHP: Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunate that Valve lied to us, but he deserved the ban.

@Dyson: What was he banned for?

And the survey says ... coulda done a lot better!

@Helis: That's cool. It's a small world indeed, and getting smaller.
