Netflix salary ranges are nonsense to comply with CA salary disclosure law. They put up a nonsense range so you can’t actually gauge how competitive it is and so they can play the salary dance with you. I interviewed for job there and they told me the range was $80k to $500k. No one pays $500k total comp for that…

This is one hell of a stretch. None of those roles have anything to do with using AI in the film and TV writing process, which is what the strikes are about.

I doubt these have a single thing to do with the potential replacement of human artistry with AI. For over a decade companies have used thousands of business intelligence softwares for data analytics that all count as AI in computer science lingo. These are engineering positions.

I much prefer the offline map experience of HERE WeGo. This is the same mapping data used in a lot of vehicle GPS systems. It was also once part of the Microsoft / NOKIA world.
