Copy and pasting the same non-sense over and over doesn’t make it right or true. It just makes you annoying.

Cost to buy and drive for 10 years:

EV’s already make sense from a price perspective.  It’s just that people automatically rule out vehicles like the Leaf and Bolt because they are econoboxes and they don’t actually care just about price anyways.

Is this Facebook where grandpa is spouting whatever BS some random Fox News talking head told him to think? JFC I expect a bit more from a site dealing with cars.

Seriously?

This is an anti EV thing that AEG’s been pushing for years, even Jalopnik’s sister site has an article debunking this https://cleantechnica.com/2021/10/26/about-that-scary-evs-cost-more-to-fuel-study-not/.

Yeah i just filled up our ICE (RX400h) and at 25mpg and $4.70/gal it’s $0.19/mile. Just the ICE number sounds suspiciously low. You’d need to average 30mpg at the US average of $3.40/gallon which isn’t really representative of the ICE fleet (it’s more like 25 mpg)

the EV is running on $0.36/kwh and gets about 333

Maybe they were looking at least efficient EVs in the most expensive electricity areas, and comparing that to a Prius in a cheap gas state.

Uh, what? This smells like bullshit to me.

My Chevy Bolt uses about 29Kwh to drive 100 miles.
I pay .25 per Kw to charge at home. That’s $7.25 for 100 miles.

My gas car gets about 22 mpg combined, for 100 miles that’s 4.5 gallons @ $4/gal = $18 in regular gas for 100 miles.

Maybe it’s because I’m a “filthy poor” but I’ve NEVER understood throwing or breaking a controller. Even when my lizard brain gets angry my logical brain screams “THAT’S A $70 MISTAKE, PLACE THE CONTROLLER ON THE TABLE AND TAKE A BREAK DIPSHIT!”

So... how in the world is this a story?

They felt like very short sketches this week, which was good and bad.”

It’s only trucks? Misleading headline. It had me dreaming of a sudden bounty of rust-free diesel W124s for sale, cheap.

My Kia PHEV and my Kia EV both came with a Level 1 charger, but ain’t nobody got time for that. My PHEV could charge overnight (25 miles of EV range), but my EV would take like 32 hours to charge at that rate. I upgraded to Level 2.

It indeed could be a reason why PC ports of PS5 exclusive games require that much RAM.

Maybe a computer-knower can tell me if I’m wrong, but does this maybe have something to do with the super fast data transfer from the SSD on the PS5? Like, the PS5 is pulling data straight from the disk at times & can get away with less RAM as a result, but because PC setups vary so wildly they’re suggesting you have

This is PC gaming, and why I'm 100% console now. Back in my day, when games wanted to upgrade from 512M to 1G, you knew it would never end. So now I buy one hardware and be done for a generation. This is not new, but at least it's cheaper than it used to be. Back then 32G of RAM would have been 1) impossible on a home

This is why I just crank everything to low, kick back, and play the game.

And just more than 10 years ago it was like, what, 4GB recommended? 10 years before (say, 2000/2001) that is was like 64MB... This is PC life. Quit your bitchin’! 10 years from now it’ll probably be 128GB, hell, maybe 256GB!

Take a look at video cards... In 2013, the GTX 780 came out with 3GB.. That was the top end! It

Well, the good news is that RAM is one of the easier things to add to your computer. No drivers, no complicated processes, if you’ve got an open slot, just plug it in (well, after checking for compatibility).
