Why is Gizmodo pushing all of these class action suits lately?  The only thing they do is to make the lawyers rich.  The members of the class get pennies while the lawyers make hundreds of thousands and/or millions.  And the companies that settle get to claim that they did nothing wrong --- so nothing changes.

Maybe that’s my excuse for finally quitting......I mean, Kinja has sucked since it was forced on us.  The old system was better.  Maybe it will be a sign.

Isn’t a more general version of that (which applies even when not negotiating a salary) is that if the price of the deal isn’t going the direction you want, change the deal? Meaning, if you are trying to buy a house and they won’t budge on price, ask for them to cover some of the closing costs or include the dining

I can confirm that a lot of smaller companies look at these as opportunities. They don’t normally attract “top tier” talent and so they muddle along with “lesser” (they really aren’t lesser, just not as driven by “flash” or “cash” and like the slower pace / lower stress environments).....but when the top tech

I just buy the cans of pure oil sprays.

I remember when we had to coat and flour a pan before we baked a cake.......in my case, I would take a stick of butter and use it like a marker to “color” the pan.

My dad had a couple of Craftsman box wrenches that he cut in half to be able to use it in some tight spot.  Took it to Sears and replaced it when he was done.  Just needed both halves (so you couldn’t get two wrenches).

I wonder what Jezebel thought of Mary Carey and her run for CA governor.  https://nypost.com/2021/04/16/ex-porn-star-mary-carey-running-for-california-gov-report/

So......as a sex worker, how much did he get paid to star in the video? If he funded the video and didn’t get paid, isn’t that just solicitation? I’m not saying that solicitation should be criminal (regulated for safety, but not criminal), but currently illegal in New York, I believe.

I only know of Fry’s as an electronics store.  Interesting that it hits the top for Arizona.

I’m an “aim for the back corner wall so that it wraps around and down” kinda guy. No splash. I’d score a 10 in the Olympics.....

It took a while, but I finally trained my wife. She’s the one that’s squirmy about germs and all I had to do was tell her that putting the lid down reduces the spread of poo particles. Everyone lifts, uses, closes, flushes regardless of what they are going to do.

They’ve bought into the whole Fail Fast promise of Agile.  They just forgot that failing fast was supposed to be making mistakes quickly so that you can learn quickly and improve.  Just stopping at the failing part and then killing the product isn’t the way to success.

Georgia is the south, so it’s just as likely that they are 28, 27, and 26......

I gained the most respect for her based on her off-screen actions.  I mean the whole Russian press conference alone was gold.

That’s PER BULB. Unless you live in a one room efficiency, you likely have at least 20 bulbs in your house. 1,000 hours is less than 3 hours per day......which should be a usage that you would hit on most of your bulbs with maybe a few exceptions (closets, the garage, etc.), but that lack of usage is covered by the

I assume scrapping it nets them some sort of money (i.e. recycling aluminum cans or copper). So, even if they sold it at a huge loss but more than the scrap value, that should be a win. Someone should be open to buying at scrap + nominal “profit” + $230M finishing fees.

I came for the Tang and the astronaut ice cream......if it weren’t for the comments, I would have been disappointed.

I just keep thinking.....this.....

I love the stealth aspects. I’ve done some complete complex “take out an entire fort” missions as 100% stealth for fun. So, the earlier ones are my favorites. But Black Flag’s sailing and naval fights were fun, too. I haven’t yet played Odessey or Valhalla, but those will probably be added to my collection shortly.
