As someone who has never once thrown a controller (good controllers aren’t cheap, cheap controllers aren’t good), I’m in awe as well.

Please quit making me pay for cheese I don’t want! Why is every burger option on the menu a cheeseburger?  At least McD’s offers the Homestyle burger.

Look.......the Bat you see on the outside is just for branding. The inner workings of the spotlight are engineered exactly like the one they have. #SuspensionOfDisbelief

I was envious of the Lumia models, but I was on Sprint at the time and it was my only Windows Phone choice.  It was certainly an acceptable WP phone, but the Lumia phones seemed to get better support from both the 3rd party ecosystem (because they were popular in the EU) as well as from Microsoft in terms of getting

I had Windows Mobile 4 or 5 (Cingular 8125 - brick of a phone w/ a slide out keyboard) and then 6 (AT&T Fuze). Then I upgraded to Windows Phone 7 (HTC Arrive) and eventually 8 (Samsung ATIV S Neo).

OR....hear me out....I can go into a menu and select multiple countries and/or multiple states and download the whole thing at once. You want the whole US? Click. There you go. You just want California and Florida? Click, click. There you go. You need Canada? Click.

I’ve not had that problem. They’ve been spot on for me --- even changing right as I pass the sign. Could be the area that you drive.

Looks like a recent beta adds support for Here Maps on Android Auto!!

Not from a number of devices stand-point, but Here Maps is actually my preferred map app. Their offline maps are much easier to manage —- you don’t have to navigate somewhere and save it. I can download all of the US or just specific states all from a single menu. And if you have limited cellular data (I don’t) or

You should cover which ones you can easily harvest seeds from vs which ones you need new seeds each season. I’ve grown plenty of cucumbers and squash from the seeds in the cut-off ends. Whereas Strawberries, I haven’t yet been successful saving the seeds.

I had the misfortune of buying a Nissan Armada about 2 or 3 months before gas prices went skyrocketing last time.  This time, I’m well positioned --- I have a PHEV and an EV with a charger in my garage.  The PHEV gets 46mpg when I actually use gas.

I hope it was someone old enough to respond “Grandpa Munster”.

It’s the other way around.  These are cars from elsewhere that are being parked by the shop.  These aren’t cars that are locally owned.  The locals are getting parking tickets and the cars from the shop aren’t.  So there has to be some temporary marker of some sort to let the meter readers know to skip them.

I’d be interested in what sort of marker the cars have to indicate they should be skipped. Is it some sort of flyer on the dash? Can I get a Free Parking pass?

Multi-car discount.

It’s why I have the PHEV and the EV. Our EV gets most of our local driving. But, when two of us need to go places at the same time, we’re still electric for the short trips. When we do road trips, it’s the PHEV because I’m not waiting 30 minutes to an hour for high-speed charging when I can spend 10 filling up my gas

Nothing that would stop me from buying one again. There is a sliding cover over the cup holders that is just stupid and we never close it......a more usable design would have been to lower the sidewalls and kill the sliding cover. I also dislike the dial for gear selection —- mostly because I rest my hand in that

A traditional hybrid uses the ICE (and for some models, regenerative breaking) to charge the battery exclusively. So, you fill up with gas, you drive around, the battery gets charged and discharged. But your vehicle is always using gas. There is no 100% electric mode.

Any mention of the range? It’s nice to know how big the battery is and the charge speed is, but range is relevant, too. I think the tipping point for range is probably going to be 300+ miles......less than that, and a lot of people will shy away from EVs......

I traded in a 2013 Kia Soul and got a Kia Niro (first a PHEV and then got a second Niro that is full EV). It’s a good car and actually more spacious than the Soul. Under $40k USD and then a $7,500 credit on my taxes. If the Soul EV hadn’t been delayed, I would have considered one of them when I was looking......but
