If someone other than Apple held the patent, sure, they’d have no case. But Apple holds a patent (preventing anyone else from creating a similar technology) and failed to implement it. Sounds like some level of negligence to me.

The difference is that Jack Daniels doesn’t hold a patent for a breathalyzer (that I know of, but I’m an Internet commenter who did no research). In this particular case, Apple holds the patent for the lock-out and did not implement it. And since Apple holds the patent, no one else is allowed to implement it. So,

You can’t have it both ways. Kim Davis didn’t want to issue same-sex marriage licenses and was vilified for not doing her JOB. Either the Rockettes should shut-up and do their job or they should go ahead and quit. Last time I checked, failure to perform your duties was always grounds for dismissal.

Do they call it a boot like the Brits?

Usually referred to as “On contingency”. Their fee is contingent on winning some sort of judgement or settlement.

The big problem is that as everyone else gets pushed up, so does everything else (prices, other wages, etc.). It won’t be immediate.....but the long term effect will be that everything else goes up re-leveling the playing field back to more or less the same point it is now. First, it will be minimum wage

The Millennium Falcon is so fast it uses the EM Drive as a brake. It can do the Kessle run in 1.21483369 x 1018feet.

My reason? I don’t like the warm light.....it actually hurts when I go in to the few rooms in my house that have them......not physical pain, but the colors look wrong and I really don’t like going in those rooms. I get the true white that doesn’t have a yellow cast.....I just get them in dimmer bulbs (so a room

I just use the microwave. Put rice in a large-ish bowl, cover with water (I put my finger on top of the rice and add water up to my first knuckle). You need a bowl that’s large enough to keep the water from spilling over to make a mess in the microwave. Then cook on high for 15 to 18 minutes depending on how much

But it would also be on Clinton if the email originated from her server and contained appropriately confidential info. If you send confidential info to my Yahoo account, is that on you or me?

My guess —- it’s content that was on an iPad that the two both used. So even though it was taken as evidence against him, it contained emails she had access to (sent or received).

Still one of the best flight sim games.....

At my old house, I had run ethernet to each room (and just put hubs if I needed more than one port in a particular room). It was great. But I recently moved and the new house is two story, so it’s not as easy to wire it up (walls were existing, so I didn’t have the option of wiring it from the get-go). Once I get

Yeah, normally there’s a whole branding around it instead of just the “Filed To” field.

My next router purchase will be a mesh network with at least 3 nodes. Hopefully there will be a consensus recommendation of those, too. Do I go with the new Google model or the Eero or the AmpliFi or something else?

Couldn’t you turn it upside down on a paper towel and leave it in a hot car to melt out the remnants so you can reuse the container?

Not everyone wants to play with the same goals. It’s like those people who find routes in Tony Hawk where they can loop a whole map without touching the ground or whatever.....or those guys that speedrun games....or whatever. It’s about setting your own goal and reaching for it. It doesn’t have to make sense to anyone
