As an FYI, the local troup gets about $0.75 per box sold (with the potential for bonuses based on turning things on on time and selling all of their cookies that can bring that up to a little over $1 per box sold). Another portion of the money goes to the regional and national offices and then the rest to the cookie

Have you tried the Austin brand Zoo Animal Cookies? The reforumlated ones are similar to what I remember......

The exercise is still useful insight in how to analyze a picture for fakes.

Best pawn promotion ever!

Do those pads get in the way of "normal" activity? The stitches seem very unobtrusive. The pads might be better used by mounting them on the knuckle of your index finger so that you can still use your fingers normally but then "point" with your first knuckle and still be fairly dexterous when clicking on the screen.

I agree w/ the above. QR codes are the physical world's equivalent to a URL shortener......but with more power.

Even if you sand down the PVC to give the paint some bite? Also, latex vs oil?

A lot of the "some assembly required" cabinets use either a bent metal tab (screws to both cabinet and wall) or a strip of mesh fabric (akin to that in tie-downs). Either should work in this case as well.

Someone got 9 happy..... #corrections (the link says 5M not 500M).

Yep. Highly recommend the bread knife for cutting pineapple. Also the pineapple corer that others have recommended in this thread. It twists down and gives you a nice spiral. A single slice down the spiral and you've got rings. Three or four slices down the spiral and you've got wedges.

I used mine so much that the weld failed (the more expensive metalic one). I need to order a new one. But yes, I can core a pineapple very quickly with one of these.

Yeah.....I actually read the 2*, 3*, and 4* reviews to formulate about 85% of my opinion. The 5*'s and 1*'s have some merit, but I find the people willing to go in the middle are more likely to have valid points pro and con. From there, I can determine if the concern is one that will affect me.

My touch screen laptop (Dell Studio 17 Touch) came with several MS Surface apps......anyone know where the download link for NUIverse is so I can try it out? The blog didn't seem to have a download link that I could find.

Not called out in the article, but in the BGR link (and probably just as relevant to a lot of the Gizmodo audience) is that the Silver Rewards program will gain some perks.

I'm guessing Apple pays some amount for permission to use Google's data. For Android, it's probably included and their income is primarily ad revenue and Play purchases.

I found that clicking the "Login with Twitter" button using a Shift-Click (Open in new window and close the original window) works better than just clicking the button. It keeps my session logged in longer.

I can verify all but whether this shows up on Google or not.

I agree......I converted to Twitter when I first got the notice and now I can't stay logged in.......which is the part that sucks the most about the conversion.

They take away a planet and give us 11 colors......not sure if that's a fair trade.

I use my phone's camera to read stuff — and with WP7, it'll even do text recognition, so a lot of times I don't even have to type the text.
