That was actually the way I was thinking. Sell your car, pay off the loan, and get something with the net money. Being free of debt (especially when there isn't a lot of income) always feels good.

If you are right-side up in a car compared to your loan, you'd do well to sell it and "invest" the gain in a used car that is on par with what you'll pay for it. You can then pocket the loan payment.....or apply it to other debt.

This is an area where Windows Phone gets it right. I'm almost to the point where I'm ready to uninstall the (Microsoft written) Facebook app from my phone. My FB feed is integrated into my People app (aka Contacts).
