This will not work for apartments, the mail boxes for apartments have a universal latch for all mail boxes, which the mail guy opens via one key.

@tchrman35: Don't all washer dryers have dials, that come to a halt at a certain point? if you make a contact between the dial and the device to complete a circuit, you should be able to use the above, with a magnet.

This is really sluggish and it is not the official app. What really bugs me with all these Launcher Apps is that all your apps on the Home Screen need to be re-dropped? Why???
