@SpdstrME07001: The correct displacement of the engine is 2 rotors at 3 faces each x 550cc per face or 1.65L per rotor, and 3.3L overall. If you checked your Req_Fuel in megatune you'd notice it compares to an equivalent sized v6. The 720 degrees (2 complete turns) measurement for displacement is totally inaccurate

I'd dump the rx7 in favor of the opel gt since the opel has an honest displacement. The 12A was a 3.3L engine not a 1.1 and is much too bad for this line up.

@tehsbean: If you do the math the 13B rotory engine is actually 3.9L, not exactly small

@calzonegolem: I have a build diary up on germanlook.net under time attack beetle

I'll defend that beetle in the main picture which currently houses a turbo type4 motor putting 381hp/338trq to the ground and he's a frequent ring runner. More info at germanlook.net

A stock 73 super beetle is capable of 100+ mph

I would ban the use of automatic transmissions, the exception being a physical handicap. If you can't drive a stick, you shouldn't be behind the wheel.

@Blitzschnell: I've got the parts to do the swap except the engine and modified oil pan. A full swap will set you back 5k for everything on average.

The other summer ride, madness on wheels. 2165 turbo, water injection, road course transmission, 1650 lbs wet, 350hp, street legal (barely)

Now with a 9.6:1 2165cc powerhouse sporting a 4 trumpet weber song, and a pro-street transmission. This will be a fun summer.

I was pulled over for "speeding" on a country road when I was 16. Speeding was the default offense since there's no vehicle code prohibiting gratuitous airtime. Unfortunately I was unable to see the county sheriff and her new deputy sitting 1/4 mile down the road on the opposite side of my favorite jumping culvert

The 1984 Rabbit GTI was the best of the cheap, fun cars in the 80's. My 84 GTI saw more air the the cast of Fallguy and The Dukes of Hazard combined. That little Rabbit took to dirt farm roads and culverts like the best of the rally cars of the day. Lets not forget that these little cars even got their own spec

Well look at the bright side, at least it won't be recalled

I'll go with the over-achieving motor swap into a Peel P50 or perhaps build a post apocalyptic trike out of it a la Jesse James
