Compare the things like features and standard equipment. Add in that long ass warranty and the answer is clear.

Is it just me or does the DCT exist solely to impress auto journalists and increase the price of top of the line cars?

The benefits seem negligible for 99.999% of driving scenarios, and the drawbacks (poor reliability, high cost of repair, misery in real world traffic) seem very real. They’re interesting on paper, but

This is what happens when you hire a stylist/designer from Audi and then ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THEM.

Queue all the “Boy it sure looks like a __________” (some car with mildly similar C pillars)

“the Gladiator... Probably the best looking truck of the last 15 years.”

I think you need to relax because chapter 11 can also entail dropping expenses (like maintaining a fleet) and trying to bring in additional revenue (like selling parts of that fleet).

1st Gear:

So where does the 3000GT come from in the name (1994 and this one)? Seems odd to use the name of a Mitsubishi car.

Not surprised about first gear. Between rent, student loans, rising taxes, and the cost of every thing else, who can afford a $25k-$30k brand new car? Even a nice used car is stretching it in my experience.

It’s a cultural phenomenon and it’s not going anywhere.

Neutral: I considered it, went and looked at an ATS 2.0T. Needless to say I walked away pretty unimpressed. Cadillac really has no panache, there really isnt a model that Im like oh thats nice. Yet seeing a new Navigator or Continental I about break my neck to look at. Cadillac is in the same kinda space as Infiniti,

Here’s that dealer’s inventory list:

I’d buy a Lincoln before a Cadillac, which I think says it all about where the two brands are.

You’re absolutely right about the raw numbers.

If you define luxury by price point rather than, well, actual luxury, then the Tesla Model 3 is the number one selling luxury car. You could make the case that for Millenials connectivity and automation are the new chrome and velour.

So instead of being the “American version of BMW,” as the story says, this time Cadillac will be GM’s version of Tesla. Maybe this reboot will take, who knows.

Cadillac is so sad. They’ve been trying to ‘reinvent’ themselves for so long that they’re just completely lost. Meanwhile Lincoln has only really dedicated to reinventing themselves for a few years now and they’ve already hit their stride with the Navigator and Aviator which have gorgeous interiors. Cadillac really

Re credit unions: The nice thing about the credit unions, at least where I live, is that the dealers aren’t allowed to mark up their interest rates, per their agreements with them. So if you get offered 4.75% to finance with a local credit union in the F&I office, you’ll know that’s the real offer, not the offer plus

if luxury is about comfort, sitting in a sedan is pretty unluxurious.
