You and your planet can fuck right off with that “only what you need” bullshit.

So even though gas mileage is a big part of the appeal of a car, PLEASE american, get the car you actually NEED and rent/borrow the large cars/suvs/trucks when you need them 2 times a year. Youll help the environment holistically, not just on MPG.

As people have pointed out, the “tax” a cossover/small SUV puts on the gas pump is nearly the same as a larger sedan....

I don’t even have the goop and inflator kit in mine either. I have runflats on my Mini, not the best for a comfortable ride, but they are good tires and decent performance.

I’ll bet $20 most of the cars either don’t have a spare tire, or never came with one from the factory. They may just know how to use that stupid inflator kit, but that’s also very unlikely :P

There are other autoworkers unions besides the UAW?

No it doesn't you need to look again.

I will admit that as a young kid I thought that the UAW was the worst, partially based on their reputation of protecting the worst workers and developing employees with an entitled attitude.

Neutral:

fuck what the shareholders want. it’s the workers who invite the union staff to help them have a voice at the table.

Except it hasn’t resulted in wage growth for the vast majority of Americans.

2nd gear: Reduced union participation over the last 3 decades is a big factor behind the stagnant wages. Without the strength of collective bargaining, workers get paid less because corporations can pay them less. Factor in inflation and it’s a downward spiral.

Where did Tesla touch you?

Or we could . . . ya know . . . celebrate that relatively new American car company, despite all of its flaws, is a) actually producing cars, and b) making some safe ones at that.

Totally agree. Last time I went to Europe (10 years ago), I got a diesel SEAT. It basically drove no better than a gasoline version nor did not get much better gas mileage. It just took more time to start in the cold and made weirder noises before it warmed up. I mean it wasn’t like the old Diesel Dasher a friend had

Garmin is used by a lot of OEMs. Even then, stand alone GPS devices aren’t enough better to justify buying another device at this point.

Built in, stand alone, GPS goes obsolete. Google maps is fine, and Waze is legitimately great.

the inventor of GIF—PAPA GIF Steve Wilhite—says its pronounced JIF. What. The. Hell.

When someone is about to date someone and they have to look up the age of consent, something ain’t right.

Walker wasn’t driving the car when he died, you tool.
