I could be completely off target but I thought winter grade fuel was more expensive than summer? How is summer more expensive?
Yeah, less than full automation is asking for trouble IMO.
Neutral - Ride sharing apps will become taxi services. Once regulations catch up with them, we’ll all be paying normal taxi prices again, but we’ll be hailing them from apps.
I’m starting a meal sharing service. I will sell you food. The menu is an app and you have to pay using the app.
Let’s say gas prices remain high in North America for the foreseeable future and not because, ya know, it always goes up around this time because of oil refinery retooling, maintenance, and summer grade is just plain more expensive than winter grade fuel..be that as it may, say gas prices remain high. They would save money complying to the more lenient standards. That shouldn’t be a reason to stop, but complying with only 1 standard makes sense whether it is california’s and the 16 other states, or Obama’s regulations or Trumps.
All those broke-ass red states that complain about California, I’m looking DIRECTLY AT THE FLYOVER STATES, that get tax dollars from Californis can suck a bag of dicks. They need the West more than the West needs them.

If the car companies are smart they’ll plan ahead and continue R&D for efficient and clean vehicles. You’d have to think that a more liberal federal government will immediately return to Obama-type rules.
You’re likely the only person cross shopping those two.
In Michigan we just call this the summer tax. During winter we usually see lower gas prices and now that its getting to be summer and people are traveling to their cabins in droves prices go back up, happens every year.
Or they will buy more Corollas and Civics.
i may be wrong, but the nimbys fighting against the apartment building housing all the poors and browns usually tend to be.....
I cannot believe what our country has come to, people on a car enthusiast site bitching that we don’t have a great public transit system.
I don’t care either. We drive a Nissan Leaf and a Model 3. Both powered using our solar panels (sort of). I’m voting to keep CA’s gas tax!
