You can quote acceleration times all you want, but almost nobody cares because both cars are FAR too fast to drive at 100% on public roads. And comparing numbers between 2 cars is only relevant if those two cars are actually going to race each other, which most buyers of both cars will never do. And so it suddenly

While the Camaro might win out on some metrics, but after driving one, I just wouldn’t be able to hack it. The interior was far too cramped for me, having to lean down to look out the tiny side windows and horrendous visibility killed it for me.

I love that you can see out of them

Don’t care. Too many pros over the Camaro for the speed disparity to matter.

I love that it doesn’t look like a Camaro, inside or out...

I don’t own either, and I’m not brand loyal to either, but I’d rather have the Mustang. It looks better, from what I can tell the visiblity in the Camaro is still next to zero (I test drove a 2014 Camaro SS).

Aren’t Cameros still rentals too? I had one out in Vegas a couple years back.

A couple things (I assume, since I don’t have AA or CarPlay):

Counterpoint, that looks like hot garbage. A mess of switches everywhere, random buttons and doo-dads all over the place.

Give me Android Auto or Car Play on that screen and I’ll agree with you. Having to deal with a proprietary UI on every car I get into, especially for essential functions, sucks.

backup cameras were supposed to be mandatory for 2018. So you’ll get a screen whether you like it or not.

That’s not a basic dash design... this is!

You call that basic? 900 buttons on a two foot center stack was not that great either.

Given your technology stance, I’m just surprised you have an ipod and not a zune...

Wow, you truly have the worst luck of anyone on the entire planet. I bet there are starving kids in Africa who are thankful that they’re not in your position of having to actually plug in your smartphone like a 19th century peasant! They may not have food, or potable water, or a future, or teeth after age 30, but at

Except most I-devices don’t have headphone jacks anymore.

New cars are required to have a backup camera, which means they’ll need a display somewhere in the car anyway. Why wouldn’t they integrate some value-added features into a screen that has to be there anyway?

Have you tried Android auto? It’s freaking great.

Should the Prelude come back? The Prelude should come back.
