People can’t comprehend that but journalist don’t help by always saying they “lose X per vehicle”. Tesla isn’t losing money on each vehicle they are simply investing more money than they bring in from the vehicle sales. Which has been part of their strategy for awhile.

The tax credits run out at a certain number of vehicles and if I’m not mistaken that should happen before the model 3 gets released.
