1st Gear: The Bolt Aims To Beat The Model III

The Model S (P85D) is my favorite car I've driven so far. Of course a $120k car should probably impress me. I was really impressed when I went on my test drive. Also changed the mind of my anti-electric father-in-law (who surprising works on electric armatures for a living). I also invested shortly after the IPO (and

already have 3 vehicles. My ultimate setup would be a tesla and a truck between me and my wife. For now u probably want a second vehicle but a 30 minute charge isn't terrible and the infrastructure is growing quickly. We really only a few battery break throughs away from desired range .

It sounds like you aren't in the target market and that's ok. It's not acceptable range to some people. I believe it is acceptable to most though. My commute is about 120 mile round trip and that's much longer than most people. Takes about 2 hours or so each way.

That's pretty good. Enough for me to forget about range anxiety.

If the dog died in a car with an airbag malfunction I sort of understand. It can hurt to lose a beloved animal, though I'm not sure if a functioning airbag would have helped.

Still, the company as a whole is suffering because, unlike their fellow Japanese automakers, their North American arm isn't particularly robust. Fitting into our theme, Mitsubishi basically sells two types of vehicles in the U.S.: Crossovers and hatchback Mirages.

4th Gear: Mitsubishi Is Doing Better In North America Than Japan or Europe

My favorite figure? Transit Connects were up 72%. Does anyone know why?

I'm just saying that if Tesla is to succeed it will succeed whether or not oil is $1 a barrel or $100 a barrel. Also, Tesla could fail in either case.

This isn't to say you couldn't make an informed decision to buy or sell Tesla, based on either the reasoning that the stock is either over-valued in the short term or potentially under-valued in the long-term if they manage to make the Model 3 work.

Source for #2? They sell a good bit of these in Norway.

I've driven a P85 and I wonder if you have and how it compares? The numbers are much better than the already awesome P85. If I had that kind of money to spend on a car I would own a Model S.

I thought there was no way it could be that bad and people were just stupid. Nope it looks pretty bad to me. It's even molded like a normal radio button.

These are people considering a chevy sonic...

Isn't the explorer much bigger?

To me it seems good to be able to spend the money I would spend on gas on other things. It's also bad because my area is currently going through an economic boom with shale production and if gas goes much lower it won't be lucrative enough to keep fracking. That means job loss. I'm against fracking from an

and they already have one of the highest gas taxes along with tons of crumbling overpasses.

I can see them moving away from direct sales model if they plan to grow that large. I think Musk has mentioned a few times that they could move away from the direct sales model in the future. Right now I think direct sales is the way to go. My experience test driving a Model S was better than any dealer experience
