I agree with you. I read those scenes completely differently. As a semi-domesticated guy trying to get Dinah reacquainted with normal existence. She is comfortable because he is married and not looking to boink her in the van. He is comfortable because he doesn't have to impress her.

Overall I was not a big fan of the "Very Special Episode" nature. It was way too obviously didactic on the gun control issue and a tad hypocritical on a show where two supporting characters use guns in their illegal vigilante activities on a regular basis. But a couple of things sprang to mind:
