I didn’t suggest that employment equalled respect, but porn isn’t just a boys club. Women purchase, write, direct, produce & star in porn. To suggest they are only victims of the disrespect is to deny their agency and responsibility.

I don’t think anyone even half in-the-know is going to argue that the United States is some paragon for gender equality or feminism, but it’s intellectually dishonest to act like we’re not head and shoulders ahead of countless other nations.

“I would argue that they would make even more money if they portrayed sex that was actually satisfying to women as well as men”

Yeah, and we made the Duggars millionaires and give Oscars to abusers, pedophiles, and rapists. We. Are. Not. Better.

does not compute. if these producers are *known* to break agreements, people who continue to work with them *know* their agreements are a joke, and yet they still do it?

Have you been to North Africa? Spent any time in Europe near any North African enclaves?

Men & women in power don’t care about anyone who isn’t in power.

I’m shocked, SHOCKED, to find the porn industry doesn’t care about women!

I look forward to him and Ron Jeremy getting the The Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Trump next year.

The porn industry employs tons of women. Those women, like the industry itself, mostly care about money.

What “they”? You mean WE don’t care about us. Women continue to work with Deen, not just the new unknowns either. How serious does the industry have to be when female performers and fans refuse to shun him?

YES! Thank you.

A lot of Canadians get awfully tired of the whole “if (bad thing) happens, I’m moving to Canada!” trope. We’re not your fucking consolation prize, folks.

I’m using my wishes for things that don’t really matter. I’m using my actions for things that really do matter.

(Full disclosure, I did laugh at this one, from when Drake broke his ankle... but a broken/sprained ankle is not a mental health crisis).

It’s totally possible for him to have a legitimate mental illness, for which he needs treatment and support, and for him to be a blow-hard who thinks he is a “genius” and “deep” despite being a middling talent and a member of America’s shallowest family. They aren’t mutually exclusive, but ignoring the former in favor

All I want for Christmas is for Lena Dunham to lose her platform/fame, experience some actual hardship, learn some lessons and STAY UNFAMOUS

Canada looks like it might be following in our good old ‘Murican footsteps. Free markets and austerity for all!

Why is my first thought that he’s suffering from not getting enough attention recently?
