Oh Rivian....you naive little child. There’s a boatload of stuff this Admin could pull to make your claim look foolish. None of these are good policy, but when the whole goal of this Admin is F#ck You, I Said So....none of that matters:
It just hit me on how hard it must be to be KBB editor for used cars over the past few years....
For the mathphobes — a 25% price increase on $50K car puts it at $62.5K, which is bonkers. I’d think that’s unattainable for at least ~50% of the population. So then watch used car prices jump by at least 20% due to massive demand. So then watch car thefts increase accordingly, and Uber/Lyft prices going up, etc.
While currently accurate or not I dont know, but back in the 90s and aughts the State of Indiana had the most eclectic menagerie of unmarks that I’d ever seen. I’d roll north to south thru the state and see all types of pickups, sedans, and even corvettes hosting One Time, mostly writing speeding tickets to FIBs.
At least Franklin was charged with murder, though
meant he never saw the car coming.
I hope the bird strike theory doesn’t Sully the reputations of the deceased pilots.

Oh, this info is going to crush Tesla’s stock pri....(checks current market). Nevermind.
He also screamed and pounded fists about just how “Chinese spy” TikTok was, and needed to be banned. And how crypto was illegitimate. And how vaccines would be the best things ever.
Completely apolitical, purely economic question — what is the point of moving auto manufacture back to the US if it results in, say, 20% higher finished product costs for consumers? The pro stance are jobs (but of course, they cant be union ones, b/c unions are the devil), but if paying US wages requires a 20% bump in…
Notice what he’s NOT doing — looking at/typing into/distracted by a phone. While wrinklies chartering a land yacht to procure produce via 50mph on a highway is sub-optimal, so are yoots going 90mph scrolling thru Insta and texting friends their party plans while balancing a hot venti and QT sando in their laps.
Rule No. 1 at Ford: no boring products
I think the interior of this thing is not friendly to a black light.
I would question on what legal basis the Feds have for forcing NYC to remove their tolls, then I remembered that “legal basis” plays no part in decisions anymore. This could result in anything from a stern letter of “we said STOP IT!” to actual troops in the streets-type shit. Literally anything.
a man dressed as a firefighter was caught burglarizing a home in Malibu, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sheriff Robert Luna. The suspect, Ivan Reed, 34, has been charged with impersonating a firefighter,
It wont end after 4 years if he’s still alive. There’s zero chance he’s giving up the throne before he’s worm-food. We’re lucky if we’ll even get actual midterm elections in 2 years.
And here’s the thing — the tariffs might be 25%, but you’ll be shocked to know that companies will raise them by 35% (or more), just because they know that most stupid Americans cannot do percentages. So they’ll collect an extra 10% on the backend but blame the entirety of the increase on the tariffs.
Fantastic catch -- double checked your numbers, and yup, all the ones I calc’d are between 8.1 and 8.3%. Something’s waaaaaay too unusual for all of these cars to be over by the exact same percentage.
