2nd gear — do most Americans (esp. those over, say, 50) feel comfortable in a driverless car going thru a busy city? My suspicion is nopes. For me, trusting my health on “unhackable” software and sketchy hardware is not worth any cost savings.

How is “biological sex” determined?  Genotypically or phenotypically?  If the former, what are XXY folks gendered as?  If the latter, what are hemaphrodites (sp?) gendered as?   Seems like it aint so easy, but I dont expect a bunch of tie-wearing knuckledraggers to understand genetics.
