I always wonder why they never think that they are being punished for being bigoted shit heads. Maybe the hurricanes and tornadoes and what not are a message meant for YOU to stop being so hateful, and not proof that your hatreds are justified by god.

to be frank. I don’t think you’ve really done an extensive analysis of the mechanics at play. in many designs, including the Michelin tweel and the NASA/Goodyear spring tire, it’s the upper spokes that support the load in tension and not the lower spokes supporting the load in tension. it’s the same deal as a

You are not wrong, in fact both are happening here. Collusion involves a horizontal relationship between bidders in a public procurement, who conspire to remove the element of competition from the process. And corruption is when public officials use public powers for personal gain, for

The best quote I’ve seen said:

I've dealt with nitinol in biomedical devices and I totally understand your transition temperature point. That is a major issue.

Its a matter of trust. I mitigated what I consider to be a substantial future risk by going elsewhere. The end factor, outside of location of the supplier, was not price but was actually that I got a certain percentage of my supply guaranteed to be from renewable sources.  That means a lot to me and to what I consider

I'd not want to spend money in Texas after this and their many other debacles. Nor would I wish to support a large corporation based there if possible.

The “volatility” in this case is a passenger liner taking bids for life-boat seats as the ship sinks. They already have incentives to avoid causing the ship to sink. They aren’t going to use this spike event to upgrade anything, just like they didn’t do so the last time or the time before that.

I am not an expert, but I have worked directly with nitinol processing for about 20 years.

And they don’t run on electricity, so they’re always ready.

It is a fiction that corporations are somehow legally required to maximize investor profits. They simply have to be transparent to investors about their intentions.

By covering the metal tire in a rubber sheath for grip, aren’t they just basically making the indestructible inner tubes that you want?

eh, you can easily have a nonpneumatic tire that distributes the load carrying forces to parts of the tire outside of the contact footprint. think about the spokes on a bicycle wheel. it’s not the bottom spokes that are carrying the load.

but the real reason to run a nonpneumatic tire on space applications has

Too easy a prediction.

I certainly not suggesting we bring back guillotines, I’m just saying having them around would be stark reminder.

I look forward to Texas republicans, now indentured to their deregulated utilities, blaming liberals, Biden, Clinton and trans kids for why they’re always under a boot.

Better word, it start with a C : Collusion

You're conflating the tire and rim.

“Burn, baby, burn.”

While I agree with the simplicity aspect, you’re other points are not entirely correct. In ”rubber” tires, the forces are not evenly distributed, but elastically distributed to the point it averages out due to the rolling nature. That’s why balancing is so important.
