she never shut off the engine to begin with

or.. she lied and started from inside the car at home, and never shut off when going into the store (wonder if she also parked right at the entrance like entitle folks often do)

yeah im not a fan of proximity start, it just causes more issues than simply using a key you need to keep with you either so why not get the security and reminder of a traditional key?

both are at fault, the owner for lying about having remote started it instead of proximity started it (which voids her insurance), and the thief.
there’s no reason you can’t blame everyone that’s at fault.
a little tired of “victim blaming” being tossed around like it’s the newest gucci hand bag.

and committed insurance fraud in the act. or at least it would be if any damages were claimed, sounds like she got lucky and it was returned without issue.

is it standard or automatic? standards are a bitch, you have to do the whole priming process which is complicated, like change gears take out of gear, pump the brake 3 times and engage the hand brake(emergency brake).
this process is to ensure you haven’t left it in gear, as starting it up in gear will kick the car

those guys aren’t usually tech saavy. I have two hard drives installed, one SSD one HDD, the boot up is so fast you have to know to interrupt the default boot process that defaults to the dummy OS with nothing of much import on it. However when I game, I interrupt the boot and choose the proper hard drive with my

clearly you don’t own your own vehicle, as anyone who does is well aware that you void the insurance if you leave your car running and unattended.
the victim is the insurance company and everyone one of us that pays our insurance.FYI it’s not victim blaming it’s merely pointing out the obvious lie.

when my house got broken into they straight up told me, “we wont be looking for these guys, you won’t be hearing from us again. if you happen to find the serial #’s of any stolen goods for sale online, callus back and we can followup on that item”

this, she knew if she admitted to leaving running and unlocked her insurance would be void, so she lied and said she started it remotely. i bet she doesn’t even have remote start and just key-less entry/ignition.

this, it is a much more plausible scenario than a shoddy install job. shes gunna make damn sure she turns it off now i bet. good for that thief, he taught her how to not idle, as if it turning off gets that cold while you shop (unless you live in winterpeg, and even still, shut it off if you are going to be more than

i had a car alarm hooked up to blue wire along with my radio. I could listen to radio without the keys, and even better, on the highway, i could press the key fobs PANIC button to activate the alarm, which sounded exactly like a police siren, with the flashing headlights and everything. If i was in slow traffic i

with mine it will start if unlocked, but once you try to change gears form park to anything, the car shuts off if the key is not in the ignition.

now all i need is an electric wheelchair...

oh hello from the past (2 years ago thats my longest “necroed” post!)
VPN only encrypts traffic between you and the VPN server. You still want to ensure you’re using HTTPS for traffic from the VPN to the destination.”
