My advice: lease don’t buy. Based on both recent and longer ago experience with VW, I personally wouldn’t own one beyond the warranty period. However, for every person like me you may find another who swears they are reliable now. Just remember, while VW may be VAG’s “affordable” brand to buy, when the out of pocket…
