I worded this extremely poorly. Hernandez seemed to know too much and blatantly lied to him. Saying “Oh I was at a club when he was killed, I hope they release the time of death” a few days after the murder (which we NOW know to be a total lie) was a nail in coffin.

Even better, Walpole, as the crow flies is roughly 1 mile from Gillette. It’s reported that you can hear the crowds and concerts at the MCI.

I hope they sell Bubblicious at the prison canteen...

Yeah, I agree. This jury spent days going over the evidence and working things through. If they had come back in a couple of hours and were all jolly and lighthearted I’d question it, but these folks clearly took the job seriously and worked hard to get it right after listening to hours and hours and hours and hours

I don’t need to make points. It’s obvious you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Do you have any idea what circumstantial evidence and direct evidence actually mean, or is your whole soapbox built on your recollection from Perry Mason reruns?

wait - you’re not saying Kraft knew what really happened are you? You mean that Hernandez seemed to know too much (obviously) while discussing it with Kraft...?

With all due respect, you know not what you speak of. I've assisted in exonerating innocent people. Circumstantial evidence does not equal bad evidence.

Did you brush your teeth?

Jurors asked by media if they thought Shayanna told the truth. They all laugh and say, “no comment.”

Posted something similar before, but Bob Kraft’s statement held a ton of weight. The way he described his June 2013 conversation with Aaron to the court after knowing what really happened must have been crippling for the defense. Ironic as I write this Aaron is in a van driving by Gillette Stadium on his way to MCI

I'm more shocked that the defense didn't get all the sensible people with no brain damage kicked off the jury. They should have hired a Philly lawyer to be of counsel in voir dire. He'd make sure that jury box was packed with such cementheads that they'd have found Hernandez not guilty and awarded him $10 million in

Good for him he got credit for time served against his sentence of forever. Bye felicia

My take on the seven days is they were a very diligent jury who never lost sight of the fact that they were deciding the fate of a man who had his whole life ahead of him. I honestly believe they’d rather not have reached verdict they arrived at if they had a shadow of doubt. Look as they did they never saw a shadow.

Um, no. If we didn't convict on circumstantial evidence, there would be a lot more murderers roaming the streets. There is nothing wrong with circumstantial evidence. The standard is "beyond a reasonable doubt" and the circumstantial evidence here appears to prove that (not that it matters, but I'm a lawyer). Did you

I will admit that I haven’t followed this that closely, but I believe there was enough physical evidence placing him at the scene that they likely felt they had to concede it in order to keep their credibility on other arguments the defense team was making. It was kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don’t

Some crack reporting by ESPN on this one (at least they’re covering all their bases, I guess):

When they appeal, the defense should argue that Hernandez was wrongly convicted for being a Florida Gator.

And now he’s on the Patriot Way to life in prison. Alas...

He’s gotta be looking at at least a four game suspension for this. Possibly more if a video surfaces.
