Sony shows extraordinary caution even with the games it makes itself, with an obsessive focus on blockbuster success. According to that article, the Japanese corporation is moving away from developing smaller in-house games, so fixated are they on only the largest games. It seems this lack of interest in smaller

Personally I think a demo can be great if there’s some kind of make-or-break mechanic that the player can try out to see if they’ll like it.

I guess it depends on the game - when I was a kid I played plenty of PS1 demos and enjoyed them, but I also didn’t have any money of my own to buy new games. As an adult I’ve played demos before but I feel like it’s always made me more likely to buy the actual game (though I often still don’t just because there are so

Same; I’d already added it to the list on my phone of ‘games to pick up at some point’. And now it’s been un-added. (Sidebar: Xbox store, be better about allowing listing for games more than just a few days out from release. Everything in this demofest should be available to wishlist, right now.)

Damn it; I liked that demo, too. That really sucks; I hope your friend can sort it out with them, somehow (and hopefully it won’t involve litigation).

Woah, what’s that? The new slideshow disclaimer comment I’ve now turned into habit!

Remember that, if you make your browser window as narrow as possible, that’ll basically turn it into an article. Not ideal, of course, but definitely a better user experience than click-click-click-clicking through a bunch of individual

What? Those games are made by Sony studios. Bethesda was a 3rd party studio making games that were multiplatform for decades. Even if Xbox owns them now they were not XBOX games and those games would have 100% hit Playstation consoles.

It is clear you do not understand the entire point of this article.

I own both consoles, so I’d hardly consider myself a fanboy, but Microsoft’s acquisition took dozens of IPs that have been on Playstation for decades and suddenly said “no more.”

It depends on decisions made in the previous two games. Basically, if Wrex is alive and you saved Maelon’s research, the Krogan will go into rebuild/forgive/cooperate mode. But if Wreave is in charge and you didn’t save the data, then the Krogan will plan on becoming a wave of vengeance and destruction through the

I always miss, because Garrus' dialogue when you miss is one of the funniest moments in the series.

This is why i love Junji Ito, its cosmic absurdist horror.

Junji Ito was unable to appear in the video, as he is currently walking toward the countryside, muttering something about a hole that was made for him.

Sounds like Insomniac wasn’t pressured into sleepless nights.

in many ways it’s the same game developer Insomniac has already made several times over”

Now playing

My dad was huge in video design and web design in the 90's and 2000's, so we always had a nextstep machine in the house at one point or the other, and I remember a lot of this stuff too. Lots of those cds as well. I always liked listening to the soundbank cds myself.

The answer is 100% no, but genuinely curious why you would suggest that.

No, there’s no way it would. Fair use is a complex law, but this one is clearly well outside it’s protection.

I dunno, maybe this is my British heritage shining through, but some kind of...line?”

Right, but that's still a PS4 game, you just happen to be playing on a PS5. That's not an issue, it's just when the game is updated to be a PS5 game that is an issue.

I bought a Wii U at launch and it remains Nintendo’s most misunderstood console. people either thought it was a new controller for the Wii and didn’t buy it or they bought it and didn’t know how the new gameplay mechanics of the controller worked.
