For Gen 4 heat seems to be a real issue. That alone raises the question of why so many Gen 4 NVMe manufacturers are cheapening out on already expensive storage by not adding them in the first place? If there are a plethora of RGB enabled RAM kits out there, how are we not already overburdened with overly lit NVMe Gen

Well, of course it’s faster to copy a game from an external to the internal drive vs downloading a game from PSN—PSN is notoriously slow!

From what I’ve seen (I haven’t done it yet myself), it seems to work exactly like an external drive on the PS4. It’ll install to wherever there is room, and treat both like it’s the internal drive on the dashboard. You can move and manage from the Storage menu if you want a game on a specific drive. RetroTINK 5x has some fantastic CRT filters. They’re worth checking out for those that don’t have access to a 100lb CRT (or the room for it).

Depends on a lot of factors. How does it handle deinterlacing for 480i content, how does it handle 240p content (can it read it at all?)? Some games have 240p gameplay and 480i menus, how does it handle the switching back and forth? How much delay does it add? In my experience, especially as time goes on, the

Oh, mine still shows the shortcut now, but at least it’s no longer auto-installing and queuing updates.

Aw, yuck. Sorry for giving you hope, then.

Well, weird, then. I can’t say I tried any other PS4 game that had an upgrade in between the two updates, but that would explain why seemingly no one on the internet was talking about it if it was only a few titles having this issue. (Tales of Arise didn’t have this issue before the Sept 2021 update.)

Well, it did fix something the last firmware update broke: PS4 physical games that have a PS5 upgrade no longer install the PS4 version if a PS5 version is installed.

I know, they couldn’t have at least added a trailer? The game, though, in motion, looks more Vanillaware-esque than other JPRG titles.

It’s garbage plastic grinding against two other pieces of garbage plastic. Your controllers were just lucky; they are built to grind. Kind of a pain to fix if opening controllers isn’t one’s forté, but opening them up (even ones that are still stiff) and putting some white lithium grease where they make contact will

As an aside to make you feel old, here is a short list of interesting builds made before I was born:

Easily the worst mechanic in the game. Later on you’ll encounter areas where your CP seems to drain constantly in battles like you have a leak, and campsites are VERY far between.

Correct. Needs to read: “…the ability to play PS5 games that are stored on a secondary, internal NVME drive.”

Idaho has so many Switches they are now dumped into pawn shops at drastically reduced prices. Last year if one ever showed in a pawn shop they would sell it for full MSRP (or above). Now they’re almost to the point of selling a docked model for the Lite’s price.

Shadow of the Colossus PS4 is a remake, and it’s pretty faithful. Until we see more, I suppose we don’t really know which type of remake this’ll be, though.

Oh, yes, exactly this. I couldn’t help but think how the aliasing is going to be so rough on the eyes while playing this game.

I’ve been meaning to pick up Alba!

Donut Country is great, but I haven’t finished it, I’m ashamed to say. I will do it!

A Short Hike is the perfect Sunday morning type of game. Very chill, relaxing, and can be completed (100%) in 2-3 hours, and you’ll enjoy every minute of it. Nothing feels like a chore, but an absolute joy. Played it on PC, then bought it on Switch and beat it again that same day. My sons liked what they saw, and all
