It's from an old late 80's-early 90's PBS kids show about Math called "Square One". I learned so much from that damn show. And whenever someone can't convert to/from a percent, I think of this sketch.
For most 401(k) plans, you also need to have left the company. If you're 71 and still working, you probably don't have to take an RMD. And any 401(k) provider worth their salt should be calculating this, contacting you and paying the required amount automatically if you don't request it.
