Same here. Took about 4 months for my period to stop. I have a weird mini 1 day period where I get kind of crabby and my boobs hurt then I cramp for like 10 min and an hour later I spot a little (like my normal discharge just has a pink tinge) then it is done.

Your friends seem to have low pain thresholds. Seriously, a cramp, some discomfort, done. And I have had 1 Mirena and (previously) 2 of the ParaGard copper IUDs inserted.

It felt like a bad cramp for a minute. And then it was fine. And I have never given birth. Some people have terrible experiences, but it is not true for everyone. I LOVE my IUD.
