I could be wrong (probably am) but how does one obtain a permit for a massive event in NYC (or any major city) without following city ordinances requiring police presences? I believe it’s actually NYPD that issues permits for parades...

Do you find any of them culpable at all or partially for any of the things they went through/brought on themselves? I always had the impression they were participants in their own behaviors and not just victims.

I don’t recall her complaining about how she got famous while she was making terrible music videos, schilling any perfume you can buy at CVS, getting paid to show up at pools in Vegas, and making gobs of money to make fun of poor people with Nichole Ritchie on TV.

While he ain’t wrong (“We don’t have the best people doing this job!!”) I’m interested in knowing how we get the best people? Better pay (higher taxes), Better training (higher taxes), higher requirements (smaller pool to pick from) are all good starts but improving our policing is going to cost us quite a bit.
