You just proved my entire point. They did the same thing every team does (you and the article acknowledge it) yet you have to attribute the “spiteful” connotation to what the Skins did. He’s been on the outs for a bit. The tried to deal him all offseason (reportedly).

He’s pretty mediocre. Compiling tackling stats as an ILB isn’t really that impressive (it’s their job!) and he’s playing behind a pretty good defensive line.

I understand the Skins rep...and have no issue trashing Snyder/Allen and co when they do something outlandish. I also understand how the NFL works and when they cut a player who’s been on the outs I don’t pretend it’s some great crime against him while ignoring that the rest of the league is making similar…

I’m sure your special organization treats all the players great, never cuts anyone, pays out all their contracts, and doesn’t gouge the fans for all they can.

Gigantic houses can be a good investment though if one can afford it. Given the AP going broke news I think they should consider this over investing in their business managers brothers restaurant.

Cutting a hurt player is probably worse given that no team will likely sign the hurt player. Foster, who is healthy, will have time to catch on before camp elsewhere and before all the camp cuts get made. Of course being cut in March would have been better for him. But...wait for it...sports teams don’t always do…

I read. I read that they cut him right before camp. I also read that other players were cut yesterday, and today, and will be cut tomorrow. It’s part of how the NFL works every year. Did you also read that Foster’s being investigated (reportedly) for threatening a fan via twitter recently?

I don’t think we agree that the Skins are bad cause they treat their players like every other team does.  They’re bad cause their owner sucks and GM is somehow worse.  I’ll kill them for suing an old lady who couldn’t pay for her season tix.  I won’t kill them for cutting a replacement level LB due $4m who wasn’t…

The article was penned cause it’s the Skins. Every team is about to make move after move involving vets in order to improve their cap and roster. Mike Daniels was cut by the Packers today. Where’s your outrage at normal NFL business?

The player (DJ Swearinger, one of my favorites from college) was repeatedly asked by the coaching staff not to publicly trash them and the team. He went on another public tirade against the coaches and the team. They should have kept him?

Indeed they could have. They are hardly the only team to cut a player recently though...weird eh? They are likely also the only one who cut a clearly disgruntled with them player...weird eh?
