Yeah I don’t think smart watches are going to be very big. They will make some money short term, but long term, I don’t see them becoming a huge market like smart phones and tablets. I think smart glasses though (AR glasses) and smart contacts (once those exist) are going to be huge. Smart glasses aren’t there yet

This is an extraordinary body of data they’ve collected. How can you assure me that everyone who’s had access to it will use it fairly?

I don’t normally agree with people who have the audacity to jack around with someone else’s artistic work, especially when they do it based on an element as subjective as color. I usually do have respect for the attempt to do something different to predecessors, and Man of Steel is not an exception for me. If they are

But I liked darker Supes... Now he just looks goofy

I’m not sure you can call re editing a film from 2013, restoring. For it to be restored it has to have degraded or modified from the original and returned to the form that was originally intended. They did not restore Man of Steel, they changed conscious editing decisions of the original, which isn’t necessarily a bad

This is the definition of somebody with more money than sense.

Things to know about me: I hate time. I hate notifications. I hate stupid apps. That’s very likely the only three things that the Apple Watch is guaranteed to be good at and I’m 0 for 3. I don’t wear a watch normally (who would willingly handcuff themselves to time?) and when I do, I set the time wrong on purpose or

Ugh. I seriously hate this fucking guy. And what drives me nuts is that there are STILL people who believe the bullshit that comes out of his mouth. The biggest thing Dr. Oz has done is let me know which of my friends on facebook are goddamn idiots.

They are not competing products. There is some overlap in functionality but the beauty of Lightroom is its ability to edit, manage and catalog hundreds or thousands of images. Say you shot a sequence of 200 images and they’re all overexposed, no problem- select them all and click to lower exposure. Photoshop typically

amazing what viral media can do to sell product

Depends what they want to get you on in 30 years. During the heyday of the House Unamerican Activities Committee you could be branded a communist sympathizer for a variety of reasons often having to do with decades old associations. Having subscriptions to communist magazines, alumni associations that had a high

Same boat here. Around the time you could buy decent CFL’s in 10 packs for around $20, I bought 3 packs. I used about 15 of them to replace all the incandesents, and have only had to replace 2 of them that burned out over the last 10 years or so. I still have a dozen left, so I doubt I will need to buy any light bulbs

Same. And I still have a few boxes in the closet that I got for free from the power company.

You’re a lucky one, I’ve been in my condo for about four and a half years and I think I’ve had four or five die.

Yeah this is just another version of a gravity bong.

I'm on day 1 of 2 weeks in SE Asia (currently trying to nap away the jet lag but it's not happening). I woke up this morning thinking about all of this and dreading going back to the U.S.…it feels almost like a cult to me. A fear of the outside world and a delusion about being the best. Also the loud advertising

Wow, I just realized I've lived in Spain longer than I've lived anywhere else. (I met a girl studying abroad ages ago, finished college, went to law school, moved to Spain, married her five years later, am a father. Pretty nuts for a kid who grew up in a tiny town in Montana.)

Came across this and thought you might find it interesting:

This. All this. I can very much relate to what you say here. I just returned back to Seattle after 11 years living in Asia. This last month has been very weird... Everything is a bit culture shocky. Things have changed and yet nothings changed. After the last few weeks being in a red neck neighborhood I don't really
