I just wish I could have the lock screen notifications turned off, because it's annoying to have to swipe up just to access the security screen everytime I want to unlock my phone.

One day there will be 1.3 billion different Facebook apps – one for each of us.

Interesting, especially since I'm booked on a future Royal Caribbean cruise for the first time.

I would buy one. My nexus 7 is great, but the 9 is a bit pricey for yearly updates. This would be a nice replacement.

Speakers on the bottom are useless. That's the worst feature to copy if they wanted to copy the iPad.

Although I certainly wouldn't consider myself a success story and apologize if this comes off as tooting my horn, it's personally fascinating to see that I grew up in a county ranked #2904 (lower middle class) and now reside in #10 by independent means in the top 10% income bracket. I attribute this to: (1) parents

I agree with you completely that a bachelor's degree is not a complete indicator of how good someone's life could be. Like you said, a lot of bachelor's degrees don't lead anywhere. But when you combine that statistic with others, it can start to paint a picture of an area, no? You can't say for certain until you

I have one of Columbia's $200 interchange jackets that I bought on sale last year for like $150. It's the kind that has a zip-out inner jacket which itself is warm enough for most conditions. It's got those little reflective foil dots all over the inside.

I feel about Interstellar the same way I do about Minority Report. People keep claiming they're so magnificently scientific, but they simply don't hold up to the barest scrutiny, while the story turns on woo-woo pseudo-intellectual feel-goodism.

"Amazingly, Siebold's parachute deployed automatically..."

this sounds like a different system than foveon. feveon uses stacked photo-sites that still have to individually sample separate colors. whereas this uses a single photo-site for RGB.

Maybe it's because I suck at texting but if I'm having a big back-and-forth on where/when to meet with someone, it's usually way quicker and way less frustrating to just call and discuss.

A little feature you haven't noted - Cortana recognised that you were asking a question and automatically punctuated it. Nice!

Behind the scenes: We did the text message demo one at a time because when we did it simultaneously they all started talking to each other which was hilarious but not at all helpful.
