Also, I really enjoyed Michael Gambon's portrayal of Johnson in the HBO movie Path to War. Bryan Cranston was fine in last year's All the Way, but I didn't think the movie itself all that memorable. Most of the other screen LBJs that come to mind were subpar.

Interesting to see this as I'm reading Caro's biographies of LBJ (finished the first two volumes last week). A very complicated man and it would be unfortunate if it's the hagiography this article suggests.
