I really enjoyed A Series of Unfortunate Events. Patrick Warburton was just the bee's knees.

I don't think they'll see it that way at all. This is the party of Mitch McConnell, who has the ability to say the American people won't stand for a Supreme Court nominee not getting a hearing when he himself gleefully announced that there would be no hearing for a Supreme Court nominee. They are frightfully un-self

Until very recently we had several government forms that had to be filled out but had to be typed. So short of formatting a blank document to print precisely where you needed it, you needed a typewriter. So every once in a while we'd hit the shady af typewriter store for a new tape or something.

My grandma had this tall, skinny cabinet full of them. We could always tell when grandpa wouldn't turn the AC up enough because the little candleholder ones had serious droopage.

That was a really important Alias too. I remember thinking it was insanely late, so seeing that it's only 23 minutes off of average is interesting. I think I need to rewatch the series. Or at least the first 3 seasons.

I'm still in the process of transitioning from being the only web admin here at work to having someone in each department who can do the basics. It's trying. I've been doing this for 13 years and it's second nature (it is also genuinely really easy). It gets frustrating when someone doesn't catch on. I know I'm a

Oh my does that suck. So sorry. Hoping he does some recalculation and comes to a different conclusion on that one.

That's terrible. I'm so sorry. My sister was bullied by her entire gym class in elementary school, encouraged by the teacher. This was a few years before all the anti-bullying stuff. It's insidious.

I remember the first time my grams put my name on something of hers that I said I liked. It felt weird, but close to 30 years on, it was nice to remember the things she wanted me to have.

Nice - I'd like a slider door like that to replace the accordion door to my breezeway. It's on my list.

I saw (I believe on twitter, maybe here) someone say that it's like the republicans and democrats were playing a board game, republicans decided, "fuck this" and burned down the house. Dems are still sitting in the living room planning their next move.

I did feel quite bad for the people just trying to get to their jobs and whatnot though. The regular riders who were not used to having huge crowds. I hope your bosses were understanding!

We took the metro into downtown St. Louis. We got lucky that we got on at an origination point so we had no troubles there. But on the way home we got stuck at the switching point and had to call a ride in. Totally worth it though! It was such a wonderful day.

For the Inauguration, the Washington Post had free access so I grabbed a bunch of recipes from their database. I plan on making Armenian Cheesy Rice this week, as well as a Lemony Shrimp Risotto that I found elsewhere. I finally got my garbage disposal replaced and my sink water pressure back, so I am looking forward

I read a theory on twitter that I totally buy into and that's that the GOP will let him go completely because he'll pass, propose, and approve things that are insanely polarizing and none of them would propose because it would make them unelectable. Then they'll divorce themselves from him when it become politically

He was on Criminal Minds in a minor role for a while.

I wasn't going to see this anyway, as I read the book and it made me ugly cry. Just seeing the previews made me teary.

That exact thing happened to me yesterday. It really set me on edge for my afternoon back at work.

I loathe him more than probably anyone involved in this whole charade. There are a lot of monsters in this story, but he's just on another level for me.

It's almost fish fry season here in St. Louis. The best ones are always packed, but there are drive throughs at a lot too. The key to good fish fry food is to eat it quickly. Fried fish doesn't keep well. At least not in styrofoam to go containers.
