Me too! I cried at the story that was all over about the guy who wrote the list of all the things his wife cried about. I cry at the line, "Hamilton wrote the other fifty one" in the song Non-Stop in Hamilton. I cry at that Extra gum commercial when the guy proposes. In real life, I don't ever cry. But emotional

I found the perfect piece of vintage Pyrex in the Pink Gooseberry pattern for my sister. Pink Pyrex is increasingly difficult to find at a decent price point, so I was really excited. Almost excited enough to keep it for myself. But it's Christmas and I love her, and I prefer the Amish Butterprint so I won't.

That's wonderful! I follow so many rescues on facebook and the like, and they are pretty much all always in need of donations. And adopters. And fosters. It's a never ending battle and kudos to you both for fighting it.

My sister makes these amazing iced ginger cookies as well as a family recipe sugar cookie that they cut in holiday shapes and ice. I don't even like dessert that much, but I stuff myself full of those each December and am content for the year.

Right? In Non Stop, when he says, "Hamilton wrote, the other fifty-one!," so triumphantly, my heart swells.

60 Minutes did a piece that aired as well as a piece about the cast recording and both are well done and have some clips of the show. The cast recording one has a bit about the recording of Wait For It that is especially cool.

I pretty much adore every song (though I tend to skip Hurricane and Say No To This, but Washington on Your Side is my current favorite because I am really fond of the "Southern Motherfucking Democratic Republicans" line.

That's super sweet. Coming home to my pup makes me happy every day. I just love the crap out of him.

Clean bill of health at the dentist today. Hooray! And, my family was remarkably chill for Thanksgiving. Pleasantly surprised.

Just got the new JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith, Career of Evil. Enjoying it so far. I forget how much I enjoy the two main characters. I picked up Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and Beyond Belief - the Jenna Miscavige Scientology story on deep kindle discount on Monday. Those are in the hopper for when I don't have

I am so glad my boss was out of the office because I cackled for a solid minute. That was delightful.

Talk less, smile more.

I bought new room darkening curtains to help with the sun being in my eyes in the morning and ended up sleeping an hour past wakeup time on Monday. Fail.

I will also say, the biggest contributor to my dog's chilling out about emotions and spills has been his weekly daycare visits. If it's in your budget and you have a decent one nearby, I really think they are life savers for timid pups. It sounds so ridiculous to type out, but it has given mine more confidence and

Presence and quality. Mini milk bone? Maybe warrants a sit. Left over chicken? That weird Dick Van Patten sausage food from Petco? He would walk through fire for either.

Mine totally cleaned up my potty mouth. Can't say fuck. Even in a sing song tone. He is alarmingly perceptive.

Mine was like that too, and he slowly but surely trained me. Someone cuts me off in traffic, no big deal. Drop an entire container of takeout on the kitchen floor? Eh, let's just get the paper towels. My instinct when something falls is now, "It's ok." Which is better than going all Mommie Dearest, "I'm not mad at you

From a literal perspective, The Breaking of the Vessels, a sculpture at the St. Louis Art Museum (https://www.slam.org/highli… had a profound impact on me. I remember first seeing it around the time I saw Swing Kids and School Ties. I was at an age when I was only peripherally aware of the horrors mankind wreaks upon

Yay for Brussels sprouts recipes. I told my mom that we needed another veggie at the table and her response was to add it to the list of things I am bringing (can't say I blame her). I am looking for something I can make at my home and transport about an hour away. Limited oven room at the destination. Would straight

I only heard Perfect once, but I can kind of hear the similarity in my head. Maybe the guys of Switched on Pop will come full circle and do a podcast about One Direction songs that sound like Taylor Swift songs.
