When I was little, I thought Hotel California was about a ghost hotel and like it much more when I pretend I still do.

I'm getting ready to start that — part of the overdrive Big Read? I got it a while ago but it keeps getting pushed back on my list. I've been reading a lot of Elizabeth Haynes lately.

Thanks everyone! I love TI days.

Thanks! He's mostly back to normal. I got some mats and throw rugs to put down on the wood floors so he gets better traction. He's a rescue so I don't know his real age, just that I've had him five years and he was at least a year when I got him. So he's somewhere in middle age where wood floors and a few extra pounds

Also, I had to take my dog to the vet for a mysterious front leg limp that they can't quite diagnose and everyone I've told about it has relayed a story about a similar situation wherein the dog had terrible bone cancer and had to have a leg removed. I do not want to hear that.

I had one of those days yesterday where nothing huge happens but tons of little things go wrong and before you know it you're standing in front of the cardigans at Target crying.

Living Colour…my mom took away my Living Colour cassette because she didn't like that Cult of Personality said the word Cult in it. She really specialized in worrying about things no one else worried about ever.

I too went to the alternative nation tour — I was 13 and my dad had to take me. Thanks Dad! A guy missing the urinal and peeing on him in the bathroom at that show is one of his favorite things to bring up to either apologize for something or get me to do him a favor. I also once went to a John Mayer concert because

The best veggie patties I have had before all have beets in them. Tastes amazing, added bonus of hot pink food. Good times all around.

I was really excited that my knowledge of Pretty Little Liars finally paid off, as Vivian Darkbloom was the alias of one of the characters.

Soup in thermoses was a menace of that era. Thank goodness for Capri Suns ending that confusion.

I had that one too! There was another girl who had it in my class and I remember we got them switched once and I knew it wasn't mine because there was soup in her thermos and I was traumatized by not Hawaiian Punch.

Sometimes it's disguised as talking to the dog, which I also do frequently, but I talk to myself pretty much all the time. The co-worker I share an office with is so used to it I have to tell her if I'm addressing her. I don't carry on conversations with myself, but if I am in the middle of something that takes a lot

I do not care for Martin Short, but this episode has my favorite scene of the series, which is the guy in the ski mask on the ladder jumping onto Titus. I am sure there are funnier scenes, but that one made me snort so loud I woke the dog, and then rewatched it four times while he glared at me and I cackled.

Those are 70's tv stars.

Perfect sugary crust on top and just enough filling. It was good stuff.

I've got a decent recipe but this stuff was amazing. I got a corner piece and the crust was so buttery and caramelized it tasted like toffee.

What do you call a fish with ten eyes?
A fiiiiiiiiiish.

Can I tell you how timely this post was? I am in Missouri, and work in local government. We frequently get calls that have nothing to do with us. I just got a call from an elderly resident asking about the Chicago Mayoral runoff and I knew what was happening because of you. I thank you, she thanks you.

Someone brought really good gooey butter cake into work today for their birthday.
