What song would you say she lets her voice fly, as you say, the most? I'll give it a listen.

Granted i haven't really listened to much of her newer stuff but songs like "bathtub" describes that vocal style almost exactly to me.
Neko's voice is pretty dope.
I meant newer bands, but Waxahatchee is a funny answer since she's a prime example of your affected-whispery-DIY sounding artist. Her vocals aren't anything special at all.
Examples of bands with great vocals in your opinion would be?
Thank you. It's the first fucking line…
18 is underage?
"You are eighteen year old girl…"
Weezer made two of the most influential and important records in rock and Wilco made some alright records that old sad people really like a lot.
Really underrated.
1) Not really. Green and Maladroit were fantastic in their own right
2) If it were really Matt, then why does his solo music suck so much? The Rentals have a handful of really great songs, but also a lot of filler, too.
I kinda hear what you mean, yeah. Without the really gruff vocals, they ended up sounding like a little rawer Green Day, which was fine with me! I hope they record some new stuff.
They're so fucking good.
I guess as a hopeless romantic, I've always related to her music pretty heavily. Love UV, but BTD is just… unfuckwithable. They're so different, too.
No Born To Die?!
Dude, if you like that Fiona album, i implore you to check out her album after it "When The Pawn" It's her best. Perfect album IMO.
It's weird you didn't mention any of their 70s albums given the article's title. You just linked to a Good Vibrations video, which was originally gonna be on Pet Sounds, anyway.
Rilo Kiley have gotta be one of the most overlooked bands of the last 20 years.
Pinhead Gunpowder - Jump Salty
Ben Folds - Rockin The Suburbs
Donnacha Dennehy - Tessellatum
Lemuria - Get Better
Yea, not bad.. that's kinda sad that that's the last one, though. Seems like the world needs a truly huge comedy that lots of demographics can enjoy.
