I mostly agree with this, though i think Green Day are very original sounding. Part of why they got so huge. Definitely think pop punk existed already, and there are bands that are similar, but the closest to Green Day i've ever heard still isn't very close to their distinct sound. Having said all that, the Mr T

I miss the Weakerthans so much, but his solo albums makes it a little easier to deal.

"There would be no Green Day without Screeching Weasel."

We can thank Got To Get You Into My Life by the Beatles for Chicago's career.

Haha how ya gonna put Local H as the header pic? That's hilarious. It'd be like putting Red Red Meat as the header pic of a Seattle scene article.

It's funny 'cause you're an idiot and it makes no sense. These people aren't necessarily following him. They're human beings with an internet connection and they read news and things that happens whether they like it or not. And guess what, people have opinions on those things that they read. The fucking Monkees? Haha, come on man. The only songs anyone knows from them are songs penned by professional songwriters. Even their NEW album is all written by other people. They're a fun band, and they are what they are, but they have no place in the rock n roll hall of fame. I have no idea why you'd attack a god

Like you're doing here?

They're not back together again, dumbass.

You know he's done a lot more shit than that one Rihanna incident…….right?

Haha what a pathetic addition. That makes no sense.

Whether or not you're forced to watch, read or listen is irrelevant if you've happened to watch, read or listen for any reason, and now you want to voice your opinion.

Do you think what you're saying now "means shit?"

You seem way more hung up on Chris Brown than anyone else on this thread.

What a sad comeback.

It's good, but EWTRTW, and Head Over Heels murders it.

The first Stones hit was written by the Beatles. That's all you need to know.
