Well, i cannot blame you for that.
Well, i cannot blame you for that.
I completely agree the Goo Goo Dolls turned into Replacements worship, just not yet, at least in sound. And it didn't sound like stink-era Replacements, either. I'm sure you're right that Hold Me Up is mostly major keys, i hadn't really listened to it in a while 'cause i thought it was pretty bad, but yeah it's more…
The music does. Super fast punky stuff in a minor key. Not the vocals. Sounds nothing like the Replacements. Not even the old punky Replacements. Shrug.
"The Fourth World" is on Spotify. I mean, you won't like it unless you like a Weezery college rock power pop sound, but give it a shot if you do.
I'm kinda amazed at how much i like One Headlight these days, after hating it as a teenager.
Mike Mills was their secret weapon
Maroon 5 are garbage, but Kara's Flowers ruled.
Chili's "do you knowwwwwwwwwwwww?" on Diggin On You remains one of the sweetest vocals I've heard on any song… ever.
You're gonna tell me Race For The Prize is a terrible song? lolololol.
Yea! I went to that tour, too. Ozma and STD were already 2 of my favorite bands so that was a dream tour. I must've seen them with Ozma and The Get Up Kids around then, too.
Take A Bow is incredible. For Madonna, I only bother with the Immaculate Collection, and the Something To Remember collection.
As much as i adore Queen, A Night At The Opera is the only album of theirs that's great front to back IMO.
Check out "Foolish Father" off EWBAITE Co-written with Ozma, who're a fantastic band for anyone who loves old Weezer.
I can siamese dream
Yea, all 4 Pumpkins are apparently getting together. I still love the Gish - MellonCollie stuff, so it could be a good time if it's not more than 50 bucks.
I am totally fine with being the lone guy in this thread string that will obsessively go to bat for Dangerous. Fucking love that album even if he got a little outro happy. The rap in Black Or White really is lame as fuck, but Heavy D's lil bit in Jam isn't half bad. Not embarrassing, anyway. Heavy D was Michael's…
Oasis! Great pick. I LOVE Be Here Now, even if it's overlong and coked out, but after that, i couldn't get into them at ALL. All the magic was gone. What happened?
That wasn't the reaching part. The shoehorned cussing and such, I meant. Certainly not up there with BAD, but what is?
REMs best moment is just listening to their Best Of/Greatest hits. All you need.
There's literally nothing weird about Rubber Soul at all. Not one thing. The only thing remotely weird about the following album Revolver is that little backwards guitar solo on I'm Only Sleeping and I guess the sound effects of Tomorrow Never Knows. I will never understand why people claim the Beatles got too weird.
