It’s the last decade where things felt significantly different from the present. You could hand someone in the 90’s a smartphone open to the GLADD website and say “This covers most of the next twenty years.”

They managed to kill almost all good mainstream music between ‘97 and ‘00. I like plenty of bands from ‘00-‘10ish but basically none that the general public would know. Glad we’re getting some good stuff this decade.
