The constitution protects freedom. Being free to do something is the point. What are you even talking about?!

There’s a strong argument to be made that the right to privacy should protect trans people from having to present documents to transition on the same basis as Roe v Wade. Most cis people pretend that isn’t the case.

Sometimes one misplaces trust in others. Assuming incompetence is a form of trust. Acting against minorities without repercussions despite constitutional protections is a classic feature of right wing authoritarians.

As a trans lesbian I am an existential threat to their vision of America. I am deeply proud of this.

The right tends to forget trans men exist because they don’t threaten the concept of patriarchy.

It really doesn’t but cis people tend to cry a lot if they don’t get special papers to tell them how much their gender is real. They’re pretty fragile.

Hate is an addictive drug, as is power over the weak, and the satisfaction of harming or killing someone you see as less than human. Trans people don’t have a lot of defenders in our society. The TSA basically molestats us every time we get scanned as policy now. Started right after Trump was elected. No one cares…

And trans people are clearly at the top of the list after immigrats. They’re testing the waters to see who to gas first. My money is on trans people.

Ask any trans person and most will say that you’re on the money. Making us feel like our government might murder us is part of the point. Even if it never happens they’ve at least made us miserable and frightened. Doing that to trans people is part of the point.

They’ll start killing us (more actively) right around when they start revoking passports of other minorities.

The gender change was already recognized. This is retroactive and effectivly taking passports away from people who have every right to have their passport renewed.

Just help hide us or get us to a boarder when the roundups start.

The passport doesn’t get fixed the instant you start transitioning. So yes, it is getting it’s (indicated) gender changed. Certainly isn’t me who changed gender. I’ve always been the same gender with everyone else forcing me to conform to their arbitrary expectations and standards.
