That’s about the length of a school day here, probably longer in fact. I think my high school ran something like 8:20 to 2:30. But walking home after dark is pretty hard to avoid for anybody who does something extracurricular in the winter.

Senior year in my utterly not-challenging high school, I would go through the first two periods by walking in, letting the bell ring, then putting my head down and zonking out. On one occasion the teacher came around to show us our quarterly grades (so we would know them before our report cards came out), and she had…
I’m guessing this picture is a few months old, seeing as it must have been taken on prom night.
Visibility is incredibly difficult to achieve on your own. If you can do it, the rewards are potentially monumental- self-publishing lets you keep around 70% of the sale price of each book, which means you could make the same money selling about one-tenth the copies, at least on your first novel. But when you’re a…
“She’s also a terrific voice-over actor with a lot of range and she’s in the best and funniest animated show on TV right now (which is amazing, since it’s from Disney).”
More Daily Show. New host, Trevor Noah.
From what the article says, the ref was acting appropriately (a relative thing here) because the rule was new. Whoever decided that rule needed to be put in place is/are the assbag(s).
From the article:
If Lenny Kravitz is your dad, you’re probably not phased by anything.
Nooooo. I’m trying to make a small funny, but not at your expense. I was trying to say that we’re all pretty similar, and no one mentioned your scenario because you’ve actually taken the time to get the towel.
I didn’t know the Studio Ghibli films were based off books at all. Did the people you were talking to know that, just not the author? I would find that fairly noteworthy- it seems like when people know something is based off a book, they tend to know who wrote the book as well.
Oh yeah, there are limitations. Like, I work out in a gym because fuck the heat at any time of the day.
I just noticed how much I skim the Jez articles now, just enough to get a basic grasp of what’s going on, so I can hurry up and get to comments like this.
I think the towel makes you different.
It was years ago that I saw it, but there was research indicating you perform your best physically around 4:30 pm. Not that the college kids are aware of this, but it could be some of them just noticed they do better at that time of day, even in the heat.
You’re not supposed to sleep with the clean laundry pushed to the side, you’re supposed to sleep on some of it like it’s your dragon hoard.
You’re joking, but I don’t know if you should be! The first time I ever went to Crossfit at 6 am, it was because I had gotten drunk the night before, slept an hour and a half, and couldn’t go back to sleep. Since it was 5:30, I figured what the hell, I’ll go to the small maniac class.
I am remembering this and repeating it to people until I forget it. Which will be soon, so I’m hurrying.
